Document Tab

The Document tab is located to the upper right of the Document Viewer. You can access the Document Viewer by clicking on any link to a document in Lexbe eDiscovery Platform, such as from the 'Search', 'Browse' or 'Facts & Issues' pages. Here you will see the normalized PDF file that is OCR-ed if possible and can be one or multiple pages (sometimes it will display a placeholder).

Under the 'Doc' tab, four sections are being displayed: Document, Split Doc/Remove Pages, Redaction and Annotation. (If you want add/change information to any of these fields, just click inside the text box).

Navigation back/forward by Title

When you open a document in the Document Viewer, you will be able to navigate to next/previous Doc Title without needing to navigate back through 'Search', 'Browse' or 'Facts & Issues' pages. Please note that this allows you to navigate forward to the next document from all documents in the case (not the next filtered document in the set) that you have applied filters or keyword searches.

-For example, if you had a document open:

-From this page you can navigate forward to:
Next doc from all docs in case by Title (e.g. 01 BEDROCK SOFTWARE_JAN (re-scanned))

If you have applied filters from the 'Search', 'Browse' or 'Facts & Issues' pages and desire to move forward to the next document brought from a filter or search result, please switch to the Disc tab and use the
'Save' button & 'Auto-Advance' check-box.

Description: You can enter a
short description or comment about the document.
Folder: It will show you the current folder location of the document. If it displays the 'Unassigned' hyperlink and you want to move the file to a specific folder, just click on the hyperlink and it will be updated automatically.

Split Document/Remove Pages options

Lexbe Online PDF splitting functionality enables you to designate that a document should be split and then create a new PDF document made up of only the new PDF pages you select. Remove Pages functionality enables you to remove specific pages from a PDF document and make a copy of it, showing only the pages you have selected. It will not split the document, but create a new one excluding certain pages.

This option allows you to create your own redacted version of natives files or any PDFs recently uploaded,  without affecting or deleting the original one (it will create a new redacted file).

You can annotate or highlight PDF images or files opened in the Document Viewer Annotation tab. This feature allows you to either annotate/highlight documents directly or manually upload documents previously annotated to you cases in Lexbe eDiscovery Platform.  MORE

Saving Coded Documents

To either save, save and move to the next document or cancel, just click on the options located on the left side of Doc window to edit any of the document. The 'ALT + S' shortcut keys can be used instead of 'Save & Next Doc' hyperlink.

In order to update any information/instructions added into the Document Field, just click 'Save 'Next Doc' to move to the next title or simply 'Save' or 'Cancel' located at the right top of the document. The 'ALT + S' shortcut keys can be used instead of 'Save & Next Doc' hyperlink.
