Original View

General

Native files can be either viewed in inline browser using various software (required browser settings), or alternatively files can be opened from a link in Microsoft Office or other native applications on your computer.

Please note that Lexbe eDiscovery Platform doesn't recommend particular software, since there are various software options that you can choose to view files inline.

Open File Locally

When you open a native/original document in the Document Viewer from the Browse, Search or Fact & Issues pages, you will automatically see a dialog asking whether you want to open or save the file from http://ediscovery.lexbe.com. Both actions will open the document with a specific application related to its file extension.

>If you decide to you save a native file first, it will download to your local computer and then you just need to click on the file name from the list to open and display it.

If you click on the 'Open' button, the file automatically will be opened using the related application on your computer. (e.g. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, etc.)

Please note that the Original tab will be disabled if the document was part of a TIFF loadfile and there was no original (native) file associated with this document. If, however, there was a native file associated with this document in the TIFF loadfile, then the native file will display in the Original tab.
